Jess Mullen is Director of Policy and Communications at Clinks, the infrastructure organisation for the voluntary sector working in criminal justice.
Jess leads Clinks’ policy and communications teams to promote, represent and advocate for the work of the voluntary sector in criminal justice. Working with BTEG and Baroness Lola Young, Jess authored The Young Review’s report published in 2014 and has since led Clinks' work advocating for all those working in criminal justice across statutory, private and voluntary sectors to play a part in tackling race inequality, and to support and work in partnership with organisations led by and focused on racially minoritized people in the criminal justice sector.
