Maithreyi is the Head of Policy at EQUAL, leading on criminal justice policy for Action for Race Equality.

Maithreyi has worked and campaigned for over 15 years on gender equality, racial justice, criminal justice, mental health and influenced policy at a local and national level. With a wide range of experience in policy, communications, campaigning, research, youth engagement and fundraising, she also has been an Editor of a two-volume book on war and conflict. She is particularly interested in building power amongst people with lived experience of injustice to campaign for social justice.
